Vendor Events

Overview

The Events section of your vendor portal shows all the events you are linked to through DreamPlan. When a planner adds you to their event (by sending an enquiry, requesting a quote, or confirming a booking), that event appears in your events list. This gives you a centralised view of your upcoming and past engagements.

Viewing Linked Events

  1. Navigate to Events from the sidebar.
  2. You will see a list of all events associated with your vendor account.
  3. Each event entry shows:
FieldDescription
Event NameThe name of the event (e.g. “Smith & Jones Wedding”)
Event DateThe scheduled date of the event
PlannerThe name of the planner who created the event
StatusYour current relationship status with this event
LocationWhere the event is taking place (if provided by the planner)

Click on any event to view its full details.

Understanding Event Statuses

Each event has a status that reflects where you are in the process with that particular planner and event.

StatusMeaning
EnquiredThe planner has sent you an enquiry about this event. You have not yet provided a quote.
QuotedYou have sent a quote to the planner for this event. Waiting for their response.
ConfirmedThe planner has confirmed you as their chosen vendor for this event. The booking is locked in.
CancelledThe booking or enquiry has been cancelled by either party.

Statuses update automatically as you progress through the workflow (respond to enquiry, send quote, receive confirmation).

Accessing Event Details

When you click on an event, you can see:

  • Event overview — Date, time, location, and a description provided by the planner.
  • Your quote and invoice history — Any quotes or invoices you have sent for this event.
  • Contract status — Whether a contract has been signed for this event.
  • Communication history — A link to the relevant conversation in your inbox.
  • Guest data — If the planner has granted you permission, you can view guest information for the event. See the Guest Data page for details on how permissions work and what data is available.

Tips

Tip: Check your events list regularly, especially for events with an Enquired status. A prompt response to enquiries improves your conversion rate and SLA badge.

Tip: Use the event detail page to review everything in one place before the event day — quotes, contracts, and any guest data the planner has shared.

Tip: If an event shows as Cancelled, review the associated conversation to understand why. This can help you improve your process for future clients.

Tip: Keep track of Confirmed events and make sure the corresponding dates are blocked on your Availability Calendar.

FAQ

How does an event appear in my list? An event is linked to your account when a planner sends you an enquiry, requests a quote, or confirms you as a vendor for their event.

Can I remove an event from my list? No. Events are linked by the planner and cannot be removed by the vendor. Cancelled events remain in your list for record-keeping but are clearly marked.

Can I see events from other vendors? No. You can only see events where you are the linked vendor. Each vendor has a private view of their own events.

What if the event date changes? The planner controls the event details. If they update the date, the change is reflected in your events list. You will want to update your availability calendar accordingly.

Can I contact the planner from the event detail page? Yes. The event detail page includes a link to the relevant conversation in your inbox, where you can send a message directly to the planner.

How do I get access to guest data for an event? Guest data is controlled by the planner. If they have granted you permission, you will see guest information on the event detail page. See Guest Data for more details.
